I remember it from a QI question, which was 'Who was the last monarch to be crowned in Westminster Abbey?'
The technically correct answer is Henry VIII, as after he'd set about the abbeys and monasteries of England, it was no longer an Abbey.

The current correct name for the enormous building at St Albans is The Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban. The authorities there have instructed their staff to always call it the Cathedral, but we older St Albans folk call it The Abbey.
