Today there are reports of an 11 per cent rise in transgender hate crime. This comes on top of a 56% increase for the previous year, in the report for which the Home Office said the following.
"Transgender identity hate crimes rose by 56 per cent (from 2,799 to 4,355) over the same period, the largest percentage annual increase in these offences since the series began. Transgender issues have been heavily discussed on social media over the last year, which may have led to an increase in related hate crimes."

I briefly followed some of what's going on at Tory conference and almost everything I've seen is culture war and anti Trans rhetoric. This bizarre infatuation of asking people what a woman is or how many genders there are is just complete and utter nonsense and isn't the innocent question its made out to be. So I'm not surprised by those statistics. Really sad for the people going through it.
