Gods of Snooker (BBC Two) on 08:50 - May 10 with 1183 views | PJH | It was. That break by Alex Higgins against Jimmy White was incredible. I remember watching it live when I got home from the Woodbridge RBL with a gut full of beer so I probably did not fully appreciate it at the time. I have seen it a few times since.
Gods of Snooker (BBC Two) on 10:12 - May 10 with 1140 views | mikeybloo88 | Great days...probably the best sporting days of my life. I could play football, golf and cricket at a decent standard, Town had their best team ever, snooker/darts/F1 were worth watching, and Botham and Seve were in their prime. Then marriage, kids and the 90s happened and all those things were gone... [Post edited 10 May 2021 10:13]

Gods of Snooker (BBC Two) on 10:24 - May 10 with 1127 views | clive_baker | Yeah, I enjoyed that. All well before my time given I was born in '87 but very interesting to see the evolution of snooker, propelled by colour TV, Pot Black, and some of those legends of the game. I didn't realise Steve Davis was quite as good as he was, I've only ever known him in his later career and punditry side. Sad what became of Alex Higgins, him asking for his daughter to be brought over after his Championship win (82?) really did me. I'm crap at snooker, but enjoy the occasional trip to the snooker hall with a friend. Used to go to one in Stoke Newington a fair bit, £2 for a can of Red Stripe in there so couldn't go wrong. I find it enjoyable to watch on TV too, the BBC coverage is always good.

Gods of Snooker (BBC Two) on 12:00 - May 10 with 1072 views | BlueandTruesince82 | Year I was born he took that 2nd title. Part of me thinks Jimmy (subconsciously) missed that red with the rest on purpose because he couldn't bare to knock his hero out. Almost like he knew it was then or never. That's break to clear and level.if the semi though was outrageous, esp the black to corner and the position in potting the blue. Equally tragic is that Jimmy never won it. I grew up watching Jimmy lose world championships and would have loved for him to have won it just once. Sadly Hendry was a machine , how ai hated him. Phenomenal player though. The Eurosport coverage of the snooker is 10 times better IMO. For various reasons. Well worth a watch next time to see what you think but I couldn’t imagine watching a big tournament on BBC over Eurosport
