Theoretically, IF we can manage to get into the playoffs and gain promotion, AND if Norwich drop down to the Championship, which team will do better? I feel as though we would have the momentum and with two or three quality signings, could be challenging for the top 6 at least. The if/but I've been pondering is 'if we are in league 1 next season what is our realistic target?'
Because it has to be 'win the league' right? If not smash the league.
And that's interesting to me because that was definitely a target this year, but also a high bar given we had a whole new squad. Not outrageous, but up for debate as to how realistic it was, at least.
Next year, assuming L1, based on the second half of this year then its only logical to expect promotion at a bare minimum, no sense of entitlement, but fact based expectation. |  |
