Chillies...and slugs 22:58 - Jun 10 with 687 views

Yes I know slugs will eat chilli plants: stems, leaves.

But I thought I'd slice up a green chilli and put it out as a deterrent, along with the seeds I'd scraped out.

As a result I seem to have a group of slugs munching on chillies.

I thought it would kill them, not treat them to a gourmet meal.

I know beer works.

But then you have a stinking, slimy unpleasant liquid to deal with the next day.

Fry them in butter first, then add the chillis.
