Chillies...and slugs 22:58 - Jun 10 with 687 views | jeera | Yes I know slugs will eat chilli plants: stems, leaves. But I thought I'd slice up a green chilli and put it out as a deterrent, along with the seeds I'd scraped out. As a result I seem to have a group of slugs munching on chillies. I thought it would kill them, not treat them to a gourmet meal. [Post edited 10 Jun 2021 23:00]

I thought about leaving some water out in case they become desperate and drown themselves. I know beer works. But then you have a stinking, slimy unpleasant liquid to deal with the next day. I haven't heard any hiccups.

Emptying beer traps is a nasty business.
