I think VAR will eventually come good, I think the biggest issues with VAR is some of the rules of the game need to be tweaked to facilitate it, trying to make VAR fit at the moment leads to a lot of inconsistencies. |  |

This is sort of my reasoning for saying the rules need tweaking. For example, in my opinion the offside rule should consider the position of the player's front foot, not knee, extremity, head. Some may argue that one could score from a body part over the offside line, so be it in my opinion, we position ourselves with our feet, it is the only way a player can practically move from A to B on a football pitch (unless you're Grealish, where you choose to dive from A to B), so that is where the point of offside should be assessed. People in a room on a monitor should be able to determine that faster and easier than trying to line up other parts of the body. | |
