Signings Ashtons or Cooks 00:32 - Sep 15 with 1309 viewsChocorange

Now we have seen many Brizzle City fans on here and also some of our very own West Country supporters branch make comments about Ashton making signings that the manager may not have asked for.

So if we take those comments at face value and don’t just bury our head in the sand , which of those signings may be Ashtons?

It seems to me the below could easily be.
Harper
Edwards both from the WBA link with our chairman.
Carroll… is not a def type mid that we needed and Cooks desired formation needs… came in when it looked like we couldn’t get Morsy.
Celina … a marquee signing , that was earmarked early on and that Ashton had connections with the agent.

Conversely
Chaplin, Evans and Morsy and Walton are Cooks men . I think there’s a good chance Pigott and Burns are too, both from the games we played against their previous clubs at the end of last season.

the question is how many signings are intended to be sold at a profit

As the money needed to pay the interest on the loan and to earn for the three amigos is not going to be earned by promotion to the Championship - and extra £6m in TV money will soon go in bonuses, wage increases and the need to strengthen - whereas £6m is not a big fee for a player now

Check the money made when Ashton spun Adam Webster, more than we made, also Brownhill, Reid, Flint, Kelly, Bryan with those six bringing a total of £65m.

That's where the real money is made.
