England v Italy 13:36 - Sep 23 with 758 views | gtsb1966 | and then Germany. How will Southgate approach these two. The obvious answer is he will adopt his often used safety first approach but he seems to be under a little bit of pressure now. Hope we win both but if we lose both could he walk before the world cup? He said after the Hungary game he wouldn't out stay his welcome and he is a very honourable man.

It was interesting to see the strength of teams put out yesterday, clearly everyone sees this as a good prep for the WC, in what really is the Pizza Cup of international tournaments. Think we will win today and against Hungary but either way, Southgate isn't going anywhere right now.

We all know what Harry Kane offers but there's no plan B if he gets injured. Ivan Toney isn't even on the bench tonight! A waste of time calling him up.

I like the 3-4-3 but I don’t see where Mount fits in out wide - he tried that in the Euros final and it didn’t work. Same with TAA, he doesn’t give enough width. My team for the World Cup would be Pickford (Pope if not fit) Walker Stones Maguire James Rice Bellingham Chilwell Sterling Kane Foden

Totally agree. This Nations league is an unnecessary nonsense on the football calendar

I would go for a 4-3-3 as: __________Pickford James__Stones__Maguire__Chilwell __Bellingham_Rice__Mount Foden______Kane________Sterling I'd go for nearly the same but agree about Mount as a wide forward, I much prefer him in midfield which is my only change to your team - instead of Walker at the back I also wonder if Ramsdale can do enough in these 2 games to oust Pickford, Ramsdale has clearly been better for their clubs the past year, but Pickford has never let England down...
