I am ashamed because my sons and I went to Reading on Saturday, and for logistical reasons we very rarely go. According to May 6th we really should not have done this, but the shame really was worth it. I was trying to recall the last time I saw Town win by 4 or more goals away, and I think it was at Millwall in the 6th round of the cup in 1978.

I think it was 12th_Man that said he didn’t want to see day trippers.

Glad you had a great time! I am making the trip down on Sunday for no other reason than enjoying time with the people I meet up with before the match! The match is an excuse to spend a stupid amount on diesel!

My apologies to May 6th in that case.

An easy mistake to make!

my second ever away game was at coventry, about 15 years ago! we won 4 -2, an amazing second half! lost my voice!

I really shouldn't have been there, as at the time I didn't have a season ticket and only went to a few games a season.

Shame aside, it's one of my favourite memories of watching Ipswich. I hope all the kids who went to see us against Reading remember that game like I remember Coventry.

You should be thoroughly ashamed of going against the mighty 12th Man's instruction. He will kill you.

RIP.

I don’t get this ....”can’t remeber when I last saw Town win by 4goals or more” stuff. Even the EADT have stated this.

We beat Millwall 4-3
We beat Sunderland 5-2
We beat Forest 4-2

Have I missed something here ?

Pretty sure maysixth has said similar.

Saw my first away match against Portsmouth back in 1986, when we made a return back to the old 2nd division.

Drew 1-1. Paul Mariner and Kevin O'Callaghan were playing for Portsmouth.

Win BY 4 goals or more. We score 4 goals or more in the games you mention but they weren't won by 4 goals or more.

And, did he mean he was there, actually at the game?

For the sake of clarity. I did mean by 4 clear goals, and me being present.

You should absolutely feel thoroughly ashamed of your glory hunting exploits. Spending your hard earned cash to travel to watch a manager less mid-table team play an end of season game of no consequence to you is a disgrace.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Oh Dear. "win by 4 goal or more" means win by 4 goals or more? Its not too difficult to understand.
4-3 is winning by 1 goal
5-2 is winning by 3 goals
4-2 is winning by 2 goals?

When did we last win by 4 or more goals away?
