Which probably doesn't affect many of the rest of us on here directly, at what point would you think that enough is enough, these protesters have a good point but they a plssing me off now?

FA Cup Final disruption?
Stopping the League one play-off final?
A big game involving Town, say that had halted the Exeter game 40 minutes in for instance?

Perhaps a subtler touch was needed to convey that. You say tongue in cheek, I say foot in mouth.

Er, ok. If you're that desperate to take offence...

That seems to be an exaggeration of my response.

Don't dis The Mooks baby.

He's a good egg.

Mooks does a lot of works for us and has done for 20 years. He tolerates our insane requests (I couldn't begin to describe the latest malarky) and just gets on with doing an unbelievable job******

***** That's apart from when we have a deadline and he informs us that he is going on a horse and cart to a folk festival for a month to listen to people playing instruments made of leaves.

As is not unusual, a good point has got lost in squabbles in this thread.
There is a hugely important point - and some excellent comments.
Most people seem to accept that man made climate change is happening, and (globally) something needs to change, quite drastically, to stop things getting even worse for the younger generation.
So what's the best way to do that? JSO of Extinction Rebellion have taken to all these disrupting activities but isn't there a much better way? We need to influence the major polluters across the world. How do we do that? IMHO, we need to have a serious public debate about it and get buy-in form the majority of the population. If we are going to preach to the rest of the world, then we need to show that we have our own house in order. So things the government could do are to set tough net zero targets, encourage (subsidise) public transport, maybe tariffs on products that are damaging to the environment etc. The public could simply boycott products from the countries that are the major polluters - China, Russia, USA, Australia - if there is a widely available list of who the worst polluters are, then more awareness of this and how to avoid products form those nations would surely be a step in the right direction. If we could have this grown up debate, maybe there would no longer be a need for JSO etc. to keep disrupting people going about their everyday lives.

Poll: would you rather
