I still wouldn't take him to Australia for the next Ashes. His Test bowling average in Australia is already over 35, largely because the kookaburra ball doesn't swing much & while he's as effective as ever in English or other seam friendly conditions, he won't find much of those in Oz. |  |

Look at the crucial wickets he’s taken today and he did well in Sri Lanka - this was written a little while back.
He averages 29.3 in Australia, 25 in New Zealand, 30 in South Africa, 15.61 in the UAE and 20.4 in the West Indies. The two countries where he has struggled are India (53.5 in three Tests) and Sri Lanka (105 in two Tests).25 Aug 2020

This site has Anderson with a Test bowling average of 35 in Australia, 33 in India & the same in Sri Lanka. While as he isn't dependent on pace so his effectiveness might be as good as ever, in Australia i think he's only be a stock bowler & not sure he'd be wanting to bowl 20 overs a day in Australian heat.
