Why?

Doesn't seem like a high priority essential at the moment to be honest. I guess it would depend on your individual home setup and circumstances though.

Because people's health and wellbeing are really important. We have spent years telling people to get off the sofa. If he can clean the car without interacting with anyone else, then why ever not?

I am even contemplating cleaning my cupboards in the kitchen ffs 😂

Pretty sure I said it was dependent on his setup and circumstances.

Crikey. Enjoy cleaning the cupboards!

The level of paranoia is ridiculous. I cycled yesterday on a country lane and an elderly walker literally jumped down a ditch. Even cars who normally whizz pass were keeping extra distance (welcome change)

I also read people saying they wouldnt use their bins as the bin men might have contaminated them. Cos the bin men have really clean hands ordinarily...

I think it's a lack of understanding as much as paranoia.

All the examples you've cited are silly as you say.

Someone in my village has exhorted everyone on the local Facebook group to make sure they clean their dog's paws after taking it for a walk in case it trod on a bit of pavement on which someone had earlier spat.

Do they lick their dogs paws after a walk?

I'd avoid them if I were you, they sound like an odd sort.

Had to laugh the other day when someone asked an expert on TV about putting the bins out. His reply was ‘surely you wash your hands after that anyway?’ It would appear some don’t...

I have seen peole driving alonr, wearing a facemaask in the car. Which seems like something of an overprecaution.
