He really should have scored another today, but I did see him start to have a go more. Granted, he did shrink after the goal, but so did the rest of the team until Cook's subs.

What was his other chance?
He recieved the ball through the middle close to the spot but took a fraction of a second to control the ball and his shot go blocked down. Volleys aren't easy, but he may well have scored had he managed to get his boot behind the ball sooner

I felt he misplaced a lot of passes and failed to control a ball he should have controlled.
That is unusual for him.
However, my concern is still about whether he (or someone else) will score enough goals for us. It's a team game and if he does enough to get the rest of the team scoring a goal or two each over the rest of the season that might be enough. We have looked more threatening from set pieces and earning them could be important.
