Its interesting to look back to last early August in that we field TWO teams against Col U given the bloated nature of the squad:
Wright, Vincent-Young, Ward (Smith 57), Nsiala, Woolfenden, Skuse (McGavin 57), Bishop, Huws (El Mizouni 45), Dobra, Edwards, Drinan
Przybek, Donacien, Kenlock, Chambers, Ndaba, Downes, Judge (McGavin 68), Dozzell, Lankester (El Mizouni 62), Sears, Jackson (Folami 59). Subs: Smith.
That was really a squad of 21 senior players ahead of the new campaign (i've ignored some of the youngsters who played). So two friendlies actually needed.
We now have: BURNS, Donacien, El Mizouni, EVANS, Holy, Ndaba, Nolan, Norwood, Nsiala, KVY and Wolfenden... and hopefully HARPER

So your response to a post saying that posting about it everyday won't change anything is to post another 8 paragraphs on the same subject? People are aware of our situation, spelling it out in minute detail everyday doesn't increase their awareness.
I wish the entire board could be accelerated to near the speed of light. These discussions could continue but for myself as the relative observer time would pass much faster.

No you misunderstand... I was responding to a post about not posting about it everyday to clarify that the reason people are posting about it everyday is that the situation is difference to any previous season, so there is some merit in posting about it everyday
Also and I'm sure you agree we had probably all forgotten about the fact we needed to have two games in pre-season last time round due to the scale/depth of squad. A squad that was ultimately badly managed to little success.
What is also interesting is that squad of 25 (21 (senior) remaining prized U23s) did turn up for pre-season, which has started this season with 11.

One point of order though Guthrum, and why I do understand some of the panic and concern.
You need to add next to those totals.... current scale of first team squad additions coming into....
None will be even close to 11.

The number we're recruiting doesn't have any bearing on the speed of the market as a whole.
Unless we're limiting ourselves to whatever freebies are already floating around in the first half of June, then our hiring rate is dependent upon other clubs schedules and players with a choice making decisions. We may have to conduct extended pursuits of our targets, especially if we're asking them to step down to a lower than expected level.
Take Wolves in 2017 as an example. They conducted a thorough overhaul of the squad, with 14 signings over the summer. By the end of May they had signed one player. By the end of June, two more. The majority of the business, nine players, was done in July, with two further additions in August.They went on to win the Championship that season. |  |

I am content with where we are. I take it as a good sign that that things appear to be going slowly.
