It's season defining in that this sort of sucker punch has cost us points all season has it not? Games we should have won, we have drawn, games we have lost where we shouldn't have by not having that cutting edge or the ability to get a result.

As a Town fan you can almost feel it coming. It’s the been the same for most of the 40 plus years I’ve followed them.

That is true, we beat Portsmouth 4-0 and then only beat Wycombe 4-1.
We've seen a clear improvement since... I'd say the Bolton game, but we will lose games, there's no getting away from that. I have to say I think some people have got carried away with our 'form' in recent weeks. Still think we'll improve steadily though.
Everything good we do will be in the context of how poorly we started the season, unfortunately. | |

TBF there are some issues creeping in now that are massively concerning - our goals have dried up - arguably our best weapon this season.
Also... Paul Cook threw the game in the opposition's favour with his substitutions. I'd have been pretty okay with a draw - but to lose a game we were in control of for most of the match is shocking.
I wouldn't say this game was season defining as such but it was a game that we easily should have got a more from, as was Oxford and Cambridge and the countless other games that we've thrown it away after Cook's subs. |  |
