Destined for mid-table again. When does the misery end for Ipswich? Norwich winning as well. Weekend ruined!

Christ! You’re a bundle of fun aren’t you?

How is that season defining? Get a grip.

It could be the game that indicates we will struggle to get top two, but I don't think it will define the season as a whole. We will get better as the season goes on.

Gutting result though.

Thanks for the hostility off the bat.

It's season defining in that this sort of sucker punch has cost us points all season has it not? Games we should have won, we have drawn, games we have lost where we shouldn't have by not having that cutting edge or the ability to get a result.

It's utterly depressing.

We keep hearing that - “we’ll get better as the season goes on”. Waiting to see it; if anything we’ve been slipping backwards since Portsmouth.

I think we'll finish around 7-9th but I will probably get cut to shreds for that, going home now, awful day.

Depressing? Too right it is.

As a Town fan you can almost feel it coming. It’s the been the same for most of the 40 plus years I’ve followed them.

Apologies if my comment came across hostile. While I’m p!ssed off I feel we have shown signs of real improvement of late and I believe there’s still plenty to play for.
We just need to start converting our chances.

9th seems about right. Is that good enough? Two places better than last year! Not convinced br Cook so far.

That is true, we beat Portsmouth 4-0 and then only beat Wycombe 4-1.

We've seen a clear improvement since... I'd say the Bolton game, but we will lose games, there's no getting away from that. I have to say I think some people have got carried away with our 'form' in recent weeks. Still think we'll improve steadily though.

Everything good we do will be in the context of how poorly we started the season, unfortunately.

I think it wasn't so much this game as the first dozen of the season that did that.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I'm pretty positive always believe, I wrote the same on another post, yes very season defining, can't keep shooting yourself in the foot and expect to achieve, if we'd had took a chance first half it would have been an easy away win, becoming toothless up front again, why oh why not play 442, we have the personell,

TBF there are some issues creeping in now that are massively concerning - our goals have dried up - arguably our best weapon this season.

Also... Paul Cook threw the game in the opposition's favour with his substitutions. I'd have been pretty okay with a draw - but to lose a game we were in control of for most of the match is shocking.

I wouldn't say this game was season defining as such but it was a game that we easily should have got a more from, as was Oxford and Cambridge and the countless other games that we've thrown it away after Cook's subs.
