What would you do? A dilemma. 13:35 - Jan 29 with 2469 viewsfooters

You're at work when someone sends you an Amazon link to another colleague's awful self-published book. You don't particularly like the person who authored the book, so do you:

a) Be dignified and don't read any of it.
b) Only read the preview pages for a bit of a laugh.
c) Buy it and read it in full for even more of a laugh.
d) Buy it, read it and start selectively quoting it in meetings.

This moral decision is tearing me apart, Lisa. I would ring up Radio Four for help but I think they've bigger fish to fry.

Thank you for your advice.

D, without question!

I just hope it’s as quotable as The Room.

My favourite dilemma was when out having a beer in Lagos and a mate was evidently sexting his wife back in Ireland. In the middle I texted him to see if he was out for a beer and he got his texts muddled up.

When he realised he of course apologised and asked that I keep it between ourselves rather than share it with all our colleagues, some of whom I was having a beer with...

I'm now reading it as his autobiography and it's all starting to make sense. Again, I must stress that he is someone who is paid to write for a living.

"As the Kleenex falls apart around my cock, I'm not overly surprised my job has descended into this."

I hope he hasn't sent this to any of your female colleagues, he's an HR harassment case(at best) and a quote from a neighbour of 'he was a quiet fella, kept himself to himself' on the news(at worst) waiting to happen.

I've kept it away from the gentle womenfolk. Don't want them reading this kind of badly written smut.

I'll just send them some well-written smut later instead.

Crucial quote marks in that post there.

And, of course, it's D.

Why do that when he has us...we should all read the preview and then leave a review.

A for me. I can't abide crap literature, even if reading it for future bantz. Not a moral decision on my part, more one of taste and cost/benefit analysis.

Mate, I own a copy of Noel Edmonds' 'Positively Happy' self-help book. This is nothing.
