Little to choose apart from all those goals.
TWTD has some very weird opinions about Bonne, our top scorer for last season, especially considering the teams goals dried up in the last two months with one exception when the fight was over. Not much surprises me anymore but the fact that so many people wouldnt welcome him back does.

Second top scorer bit, yeah, you would think Bonne only managed a couple of goals last season from the general reaction to him late on. We saw the same with Kayden Jackson, some fans wanting us to let him go and just stunning we could get better in.

I’m not sure Bonne is quite right for how we played under McK but Oxford away he was excellent in that role second half.

I think it was somebody with less skill, just more pace.
I'll never get it even if someone does get it that's the frustrating thing,I just remember the collective moans and groans of ''not agaiiiiiiiin''

Wasn’t Adrian Paz was it? He liked an offside if I remember correctly.

No, Brennan was a midfielder. He could score a goal alright but I don’t remember offside being an issue. I don’t remember Kiwomya being too bad on offsides.

In recent times Brett Pitman did and going back a bit Haynes is one that sticks in the mind. Marcus Bent too - a talented player but he annoyed the heck out of me.

speaking of Bret..he opened the scoring and the second..for the Pompey legends yesterday…another Town connection our favourite Icelandic Herman scored all 4 goals a few years ago in the corresponding fixture..

David Johnson MK2 ?

DJ2 definitely fits that description. It was sooo annoying. Then the coaching staff taught him to run along the line to get up to pace before making his forward or diagonal runs. Kayden Jackson was also very much like that pre McKenna and his coaches. He can give almost every defender in league 1 a five yard start so why play right on the shoulder. Midfielders must hate playing balls into forwards knowing they are going to be offside or into good areas knowing there isn’t going to be anyone on the end of it. If we sort that out, then more good balls will start to come in. It has to be instinctive.

IF we ever decided to go back in for Mac Bonne, he’d come here above Sheffield Wednesday. Of that I have no doubt. But I don’t think we will be. I’m afraid he shot his bolt in his loan move.

On that...there was a town player years ago,I can't for the life of me remember who but he was FOREVER offside frustrating the crowd after some perfect build up play to get him in with a chance .. I want to say Kiwomya, but I'm not sure.

Marcus Bent

Edit: sorry I see he’s already been named

Under KM??.....1 goal ,away at Gill's I think, for Bonne. And that, after 11 games without scoring. And no more goals for the rest of the season after that. Quite a few missed chances.(from memory, you can correct me if I'm wrong) I honestly thought he would kick on from that Gills goal, after breaking the drought. He had plenty of minutes/opportunities to do so... I don't dislike Bonne, never met the guy. Just on purely football facts, under KM, Imo, he did little more or no less than Piggot. Who we have already in the building at no extra cost.. Lets take the Bonne tinted specs off for a second... If we loaned a striker, any striker, say, a non Town fan from Scottish Championship. And they scored 1 goal in half a season. Would you really want them back? Or would you want the club to be looking for better??..... Btw, Burns was Towns top scorer last season....
