A good ride from him in tricky conditions at times but that was just elite team riding from Quickstep. Too good tactically

This Tour has been one of the best for a long time. The first week was exceptional.

Ah. An accolade up there with 'exciting golf match' and 'intellectually challenging episode of 'Love Island".

"My gran could have scored that" screamed the football commentator.
You'll never hear a remark like that in the TDF.
A bike race is not just physical but psychological too and it lasts for 4+ hours.
The human endeavour required to win a stage is immeasurable.
For Cavendish to be the first across the line before 150 others takes cunning, inteligence and sheer guts.
His achievements cannot be dismissed as pfft.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

It’s been quite eye opening how much more exciting it is when you eliminate half the field in the first few days.

They should employ snipers in future.

Good point - bullets are expensive and cardboard very cheap.

Maybe spectators should pick up their Amazon orders along the race route and take the riders out there and then.

No rider is thinking about Mt. Ventoux except in their nightmares.
What sort of sadist thought of this stage.
Are you sure ? Mt. Ventoux is too tough.
Yeah, so let's make them do it twice.

And yet if there was a gun to my head and I had to name three posters that would definitely reply.. two of them would be you and Badger. The other being Belstead Cav but not to moan about the subject.

At his age you'd suspect that wouldn't you.
Thing is that the TDF dope testing is everywhere.
Win a stage or in the top 3 - dope test.
Got yerself some mountain points - dope test.
Won a time trial - dope test.
Won an intermendiate sprint - WTF - dope test.
Cav is clean.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Perhaps they can get enough momentum from going down it after the first climb to freewheel up it second time around? Tomorrow's stage is a crazy idea. To make matters worse, I believe thunderstorms are forecast. The only small mercy, if there is such a thing on such a savage climb, is the winds are going to be light

Pogacar is probably going to benefit from this stage more than any other rider.
I'm not saying he'll win it, but out of all the GC riders he'll be first.
This is a stage that demands the next day is a rest day. It isn't.
At least Thursdays stage 12 is designated flat - with a cat 3 climb in the middle.
Cav could win that.
