Watching them vs Sunderland and they look very impressive, as they were in the second half against us. Yes they are direct but they do play some good football too.

Interesting stats just now regarding their results v top half against lower.

They have a nice run over next 6 games.. but then go back to top half teams. They might be the club we can catch if and that's a big if, we can actually get a Sunderland type run going.

It's still a damning situation that these are teams so far ahead of us in league 1.. both are solid league 1 teams. But so so average at the same time.which makes it even more frustrating

I made that a foul on the keeper though. I know keepers tend to be over protected but Hanlon was clearly holding him for me.

They’re a good team and have actually won my respect a bit recently.

Sunderland on the other hand always look second best whenever I watch them yet are challenging for the title. They’re a bit like us under Lambert when we first came down except they’ve sustained it for a lot longer.

I can see what you mean but he’s under no obligation to move and the keeper simply could get round or over him. Good game though, different styles, both going at it, I guess we want a Sunderland win?.

Not sure the keeper could get round him with how he was backing in and using the arm. Think it just about crossed the line for me. It is an enjoyable game though. Sunderland's equaliser was nicely worked.

Limiting Wycombe to so few chances was a real achievement given the direct way they play, and taking into account how weak we so often are against that type of approach.

Nasty looking injury that. Looked at first glance that he took the goalie's knee to his head.

Stockdale seems to cost Wycombe a decent number of goals. He gifted us 2 or 3 across our two games and I'd say he was at fault for that goal, no need to rush out like that when the defender was pushing him away from goal.

They’re very good at what they do and they’re nailed on for top 6, but I don’t think they’re that talented a squad relative to some at this level, ourselves included. Just organised and look like a side that’s been together a while, know their strengths and know their limitations.
