This is what I'd like to see , assuming Ward is back -

Holy
Chambers Nsiala Woolfenden Ward
Bishop Dozzell Nolan
Bennetts Hawkins Edwards

But I imagine Ward will still be out, he'll stick with Wilson and Bennetts will only be on bench.

Some wil want Jackson to start, I don't. Hawkins offers a lot more.

RIP Sir Bobby

Because the game might be harder?

Not sure it isnmuch of an upgrade though compared to woolf for Wilson

That’s why we have substitutes. Nsiala and Wilson have done little wrong this season; it will do little for player morale to bring Woolfenden back into the fold at this stage especially as, from reports, he didn’t look 100% against Gillingham.

The players will be delighted to not have to keep going to fetch Wilson's passes out of the stands

Rubbish.

That’s why we have stewards.

Bennetts not match fit yet. Ward needs to come back in fairly soon, and I imagine we'll soon concede a goal from loose passing out which will show why we miss Woolfenden, but for this one I'd be perfectly happy with keeping the team that played so well on & off the ball at the weekend.

Clearly Woolfie is a better player, but Wilson has been part of a defence that has conceded 2 goals in 5 games, it would be incredibly harsh to drop him given we have all been saying lets have a settled side for once.

Also, Toto has been playing really well and is starting to show a solid partnership with Wilson, why would we break that up and give ourselves potentially unnecessary issues?

As the great man once said it is not about having the best players but having the best team.

The team is balanced and playing well. Why change it when it is working.

All men and women are created, by the, you know the, you know the thing.

A settled defence first (as that's where mistakes are most costly)

Then the midfield

Then the attack

I said this the other day, but i've not been nervous once watching us, few stray passes, but always felt we'd get it back, get organised or clear lines when needed, all looks very good.

Probably lack a bit of bite in midfield, but otherwise, no issues for me with same team and giving Bennetts and Jackson a run around late on to get some fitness.

Ward to replace Kenlock if fit.

Indeed, but some people can't see through the wood for the trees.

Not felt nervous once!? Blimey, I'm usually a nervous wreck watching town - no reflection on our performances this year, I think it's just the consequences of having watched us all my life!

Totally agree with you though, the defence have looked very good as a unit and done really well in terms of being organised, getting blocks in and clearing their lines when required. Been some sloppy passes that we could've been punished for, but at the same time, there have also been some excellent crossfield diagonals from our back four so there's been good and bad in that department.

I wouldn't change anything from the win last week. Thought our poorest perfromer was Huws as he just looked rusty to me (understandbly so), but I'd give him another game as he was part of an effective three at Blackpool and it should get him closer to where he needs to be.

Can understand people wanting Ward back in, but I'd be a little wary of rushing him back as it's his achilles, and to be fair, Kenlock played well on Saturday and combined with Edwards to nullify their dangerman on the right wing well.

Uppa Towen!

You know what I mean though right? The last few seasons you just felt we'd concede at any given moment, but I don't seem to have that fear as we look organised and well drilled.

Of course there's the odd pass astray etc, but that's going to happen regardless.

Huws I agree on, got about, movement was good, but some really strange decisions and passes and holding onto it too long, but physically he's more of a presence thatn Nolan and we know he has quality in abundance when he's back on form.

Yeah I totally get you, we've seemed so much better organised at the back this year, and have given away a lot fewer chances. Hoping we can carry that on into some of the more difficult (on paper) games we have coming up!

I meant to make a point more about my jitteriness while watching us play rather than to disagree with you, think the defence has looked really good this year so far.

Might be a few changes mostly due to people like Ward and Nolan coming back from injuries if they are fit they come straight back in. Only tactical change I'd make is to have either Lankester or Bennetts in place of Judge I still feel we need more pace in the team.
