I don't think he is a million miles away from it. Of course he exaggerating slightly.
But there were definitely gates under the back end MM era where we were getting between 12-14k for a Championship game.
Now we are getting between 19-21k which is incredible.
You have to say, the fans that are going to games have been incredible under Paul's time, home and away. |  |

I remember one ‘near the end’ (of the MM reign) that was published as 12K ish, but it was clearly nearer 9K actually in the stands - Sad times.
But things have improved a lot since then. | | | |
