Watching on Yesterday...The World at War. Is there a better series of documentaries on this subject. If there is could anyone point me in the right direction. I've seen these all before but this is brilliant.

His vietnam war series comes much recommended from this poster too.

I enjoyed that too. I think it's on Netflix now.
I know most people rate Apocalypse Now as the best ever Vietnam war film but I actually prefer Platoon. It's well worth watching the making of Platoon. Oliver Stone went to great lengths to shoot that film.

Maybe not on this subject -- but the docuseries on on the US Civil War by Ken Burns is pretty impressive... well worth watching thirty years on

Both series (Civil War and Vietnam) are excellent. And I love way the Civil Ward series starts with this piece of trivia

Wilmer McLean (May 3, 1814 — June 5, 1882) was an American wholesale grocer from Virginia. His house near Manassas, Virginia, was involved in the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861. After the battle, he moved to Appomattox, Virginia to escape the war, thinking that it would be safe. Instead, in 1865, General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant in McLean's house in Appomattox. His houses were, therefore, involved in one of the first and one of the last encounters of the American Civil War.

Even the video I just posted isn't working my end now so must be something up with my browser. If it doesn't work your end just type in /user/TheGreatWar after youtube.com.
Here is a screenshot of the channel so you can see the URL address at the top:

Yeah it's the same guys. The team is actually a bit bigger now as they've got more resources. Is well worth a watch, especially with Barbarossa just around the corner.

Forgot to say, you can use a website such as this one https://snipboard.io/ to post photos on here although you will need to quickly register an account in order to do so.

I think the solution might be to use one of the embed codes. If you scroll down click where it says Embed codes and you should see these:

One of those might do the trick. Try copying and pasting the HTML or BBCode text links and see if they work. Can't promise they will but worth a try.

I think most of you on this thread would enjoy a visit here (if you dare venture into Norfolk!) if you haven't already been before:

And here as well:

Dug out a few pictures I took while visiting:

Think images have to have a jpg or png extension for the forum software to pick up that it's a photo. Don't think it likes images with http rather than https either.

Thanks Phil.

Just seeing if either of these work then:

Update: Nope didn't seem to like them either.

Easier solution, I'll put it on Snipboard instead.
