This of course is backed up by research and is apparent to anyone who has looked deeper than the very headlines of that same press.
What we also need to do is ensure that the same normalisation doesn’t continue for the next minority to be fully in the sights of the right wing like refugees, travellers and the trans community. |  |

I meant more that when the major focus on Muslims slips away then they’ll be attacking refugees for being refugees. Before it’s often been as Muslims and as potential Islamist terrorists. Then it’ll be because the UK is seen as a soft touch and these “swarms” want to take advantage of “us” ... rather than because they’re refugees with rights and have even been displaced by our own foreign adventures.
Of course, the truth is that the UK is already one of the least accommodating Western countries to refugees. | |
