Hirst scored the same number of goals unless I'm mistaken, so is it really a step down? Probably in terms of potential and sell on value etc but if we're looking at here and now who's to say Bonne isn't the better option? I've barely ever seen Hirst kick a ball before so I'll admit to having no opinion on who the better striker is.

The main difference is Hirst had a very slow start to the season and didn't score a goal until November.

Bonne had 10 goals by that point. So they are both arguably streaky players.

Hirst doesn't have a great scoring record across his career, aside from the second half of last season.
