Wonders why he doesn't get an interview on 15:29 - Mar 26 with 4887 views | DublinBlue84 | it's also interesting he says now that he left the club first time to improve as a coach, however I'm sure previously when he left the first time it was because he didn't see a pathway for him. They literally bent over backwards to give him the U23 role, moving the previous incumbent who gave the club many years uninterrupted to a non role to achieve it. I'm afraid today's stunt and the interview have put him down in my estimations.

Seems incredibly odd. I guess Watson must be sure to tweet it but it's strange. I'm a bit concerned for Dyer. Very odd timing. On the other hand, if he's just sitting in the stands minding his own business it's not really much of a 'stunt'. I'll reserve judgement.

Not a stunt? Is it normal for an u23 manager to quit and go to the next first team game with an u18 players name on his shirt?

"I hope one day he gets it." Genuine question. Why? What's he shown to make you think he'd be a worthwhile appointment as a manager? Obviously apart from what he's done on the pitch, which should be irrelevant. [Post edited 26 Mar 2022 17:03]

Clearly he'll only get it if he's good enough or promising enough. Implicit in hoping he gets the gig is him showing elsewhere he's good.

Nothing id guess but is there anything wrong then hoping that KD becomes a manager who returns to.lead his old club? I hope I win the lottery tonight, I probably won't but I can hope can't I

I get all that, but I find this hankering after 'legends' to become club managers the strangest thing football supporters talk about. I saw the abuse Magic was getting toward the end, I really don't want that for KD. Good footballers do not necessarily make good managers - See Jackie Milburn.

Her has worked very well at Ipswich as it happens, unfortunately for him the powers that be decided against him but at the same time seem to have made a very wise appointment. Kieron is a young coach with a modern outlook, unlike the previous occupants. Why shouldn't he feel aggrieved? He's played his part with the youths and wants a bigger job, it's not as if he is trying to be a Gerard or Lampard, we are only a 1st division club.

The club is more important than any individual by far. Dyer needs to realise that and to make a point today, which wasn't about him, is totally wrong. Don't dispute he has been doing a good job as U23 coach, but he's way too emotional about this whole situation and is forgetting the bigger picture.

"... to make a point today, which wasn't about him, ..." You're inferring stuff here, like Frimmers... give the over-analysis a rest and heed Mullers' comment, which is spot on.

Great footballers who weren’t the best managers? See Jackie Milburn, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Roy Keane, Paul Lambert (threw him in for a joke) you name it, the list is endless As for KD, I hope he finds a job he is comfortable with and fulfils whatever potential he has. I can actually see him becoming a first team coach rather than a manager, not least because I’m not sure how much he’d enjoy all the other off field stuff a manager has to do.

Tbh. As an ex town player I'd like nothing more than to see him in a first team management role. However actions like today imo, shows he's still got that petty, emotional and rash decision making that he's had all his life. And something that could stop him from getting that job. I do hope there is a good story to it. But following his interview and the depth he spoke of humpries it comes across bizarre. Absolutely your choice if you feel its bit of nothingness.
