You might have seen him mentioned on the national news when they went through the stories of some of those who have died of CV19.

He was my doctor for years, he only fully retired fairly recently having been working part time for quite a while but came out of retirement to help with the CV19 crisis.

As well as being a very good doctor he was also a very, very decent man. A few years ago he was raising money and collecting donations to help people suffering in Syria, where he was from.

Last time I saw him was a few years ago for some ninor ailment and he was mentoring a student doctor who I am sure will have benefited from the experience.

The clapping round here last night was very well observed because it was partly dedicated to him.

He is certainly missed in the Ipswich-Shotley-Sudbury Golden Triangle. I am only sorry that I am not better at this sort of thing and cannot pen a better tribute to him.

Oh, and his name is pronounced Eye-ash, not how they pronounced it on the news.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

I met him when he was a locum at the surgery where I was registered and again in Colchester when I underwent a BUPA medical. He was a much-respected professional and thoroughly decent man. I was stunned when I saw his picture on the BBC news and heard he had died after coming out of retirement to help.

My GP when I first moved here 4 1/2 years ago. Lived in Raydon. Was a nice guy for sure.
