Very disappointed with the door staff and the Suffolk constabulary today. Allowed Reading to run amok in there today.
Kicked off with home fans trying to have a safe drink before the game. Let them in and then let them stay in there despite knowing they were after a fight. Ipswich police seem more worried about stopping our own fans having a good day despite our track record of being pretty well behaved fans.
Apparently reading fans turned up early before the doormen were working and then home fans turned away to avoid trouble. Pretty laughable, never felt so outnumbered in a home pub. I think mannings will lose a lot of match day trade after today.

Funny enough I thought we were in our home pub. They kicked off throwing punches and the coppers were too scared to do anything. There was about 40 off them on right of the bar, we turned round to the group of lads to our left and said "at least we have a bit of back up" to which they said "sorry were reading too lol" lucky they were ok

Think you’ll find that Suffolk Constabulary aren’t happy with the landlords of Mannings for letting away fans in!!

I remember the doormen stopping a Rotherham fan come in a few weeks ago with his young fan, and now they let in 40 stone islanders in. The reading fans we spoke to said they left the station arms as no bt sport. Lol

That would be the weirdest feeling/day ever if we want them to win in that situation, hopefully the players would understand, they'd give us this one after such a sh!te season you'd hope?

Knowing us we'd probably score a last minute winner, gifting Norwich promotion.

it wouldn't be through trying tho, it would be bart smacking it up the pitch, and the ball would bounce over their keeper in a weird mix up. id consider running on the clear it.....

More likely we try to clear Leeds' line for them and it deflects in off the referee.

I'm not too sure PR will be a healthy place if scores mean they miss an automatic place.

If you are around 6th place then squeaking into the play offs is an achievement, but if you have been top or 2nd all season you may not welcome missing out on an automatic place.

Some may remember Bellend Road when they were relegated to L1 after losing to us.

I was there as well and will also never drink there again .
Which is a shame as used to be a good pub on match days .
Apparently new management has ruined it .

It was a bloody great pre match venue, the old girl who ran it was pleasant enough as were all the bar staff,a decent pint of ale was always had.

Then the new bloke took over again happy enough and cheap as chips.

I think it’s this owner who has fkd it up,the chaps I drink with don’t go in there anymore.

We tend to go in the Monkeys now, my first experience of it I didn’t like it but yesterday it was bloody good in there with a good crowd of blokes, not only that it’s easy to get served and the bar staff are ok.

Mannings should really be better than it is.

We never realised it was under new management until we were speaking to the old landlord just before we left for Degeniros. He was very dissapointed, i think his wife even had some little reading fan giving her a mouthful right in her face. We will have to try the monkeys too. Shame really as Mannings was cheap as chips haha. Funny enough the two Reading fans I spoke to were built like brick sh*thouses and were after a drink and a day out. The 40 after a fight were little kids, but in this day and age could easily be carrying a weapon

Looking on maps, was the pub formerly the Lloyds Tavern?
We've tried a few different pubs this season, black horse the beer is awful and the staff strange lol. Isaac's a long walk and never enough bar staff, the plough seems ok.
