I understand that war is brutal but you should post a warning at the top of your post and detail what is being shown.

Isnt the thread title a warning to possible contents? I don't blame the poster for the trauma I feel watching this horror.

It is time to stop bombing kids, in Gaza and anywhere.

I've removed the videos as obviously upsetting and we do have children who use the site. I take the point you were making 100 per cent though.

I think that’s wise. I’ve seen the videos and pictures released of the babies and other atrocities carried out over the weekend. Stuff that will live with me forever. But felt that this wasn’t the place to publish them.

Although I completely understand why people do want to share the footage in order to bring home the horrors and suffering that is halo ending in Israel and Gaza that very few of us can comprehend.

You'll never get any sense. The board as ever is a left wing echo chamber.

The usual lefties all jump on as normal and try belittling and bullying people like yourself. It's pointless. They have their faux egos to protect.

Honestly, a pointless exercise!

Why try and politicise and polarise something like this, and drive a wedge between people? What have people’s political views in the UK got to do with any of it? People were appalled by Hamas’ attacks and by the retaliatory loss of life irrespective of their political views, which is as it should be.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

The fact that you’ve posted this proves that this site isn’t an echo chamber.

2 hours to evacuate a hospital with people on life support.

F#ck religion, all of them. So much for turning the other cheek!

Edit...so just 11 shot and killed in the West Bank today and perhaps 17 hostages killed by bombing in Gaza....madness!

Edit2...oh and 70 killed in bombed evacuation convoys.

I honestly don’t mean to make this political but Sunak defending Israel tonight and saying they’ve every right to ‘take whatever action it seems necessary’ doesn’t sit right with me when simultaneously the Israeli PM is saying that if you want to live, you need to go south to over a million people and announcing plans to blow up a hospital.

It really leaves a nasty taste in the mouth that we are seemingly siding with Israel here.

The actions of Hamas were vile. The actions of Israel are vile. The whole situation is vile. Innocent people dying all around the world and at the same time people of importance are making deliberate choices to show they’re on a certain side.

Why can’t we condemn both for the thoroughly awful actions taking place.

Poll: Would you take a draw tonight if offered right now?

Don't worry Rommers, Netanyahu has just stated that "...this is just the beginning." It's going to get so much worse yet.

That is shocking.

I had a separate thread on Medicins San Frontiere on the General section and posted elsewhere the following.

“There are severely ill people whose injuries mean their only chances of survival is being on life support, such as mechanical ventilators,” Reuters reports WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic said. “So moving those people is a death sentence. Asking health workers to do so is beyond cruel.”

And this from the WHO director, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

"Hospitals in Gaza are at a breaking point. Without immediate entry of aid, essential health care services will come to a halt. I visited Gaza in 2018. Access to care was already difficult. I know first-hand that a mass evacuation to the enclave’s south would be disastrous – for patients, health workers and other civilians left behind or caught in a dangerous and maybe a deadly mass movement. We appeal for the reversal of the decision."

If 47% of the population are kids and 50%'ish of the population voted for Hamas, then you're indicating that pretty much the entire voting age population of Gaza firmly support (and voted for) a violent, terrorist organisation, that wages religious jihad in the pursuit of the destruction of Israel, who just committed horrendous atrocities.

You can't have it all ways, make up your mind, are they all innocent, or does the finger point towards the population being complicit with Hamas?

You really are an ignorant moron. Seeming to think that the ordinary people of Palestine somehow deserve the hell being reigned down on them. Extremists wouldn't have got elected had the previous regime been able to get anywhere.
What Hamas did was despicable and inhuman.
Sadly in these confrontations a supposedly civilised govt like Israel's generally take x10-15 times as many Palestinian lives as their own casualty count. One innocent life lost is bad enough on any side.
To see so many western govts give them free reign and even support as they kill with impunity is sickening.
One is a terroist org one is an elected govt. Surely that should count for something?
