Tough one.

Forest one is absolutely laughable, their fans must be sick.

We had been regular bottlers ourselves in late 90's so know the feeling.

As for Forest it must be as awful today as it was when they lost 2-5 to Yeovil.

Would have to say Forest as they've been in the top six for most, if not all, of the season. Brentford, despite blowing it and before the Stoke game arguably having promotion in their hands, never were in the top two.

Forest have made bottling an art form in the last decade or so. But this one tops the lot I think. Their fans are absolutely livid.

They've got nothing on Well Run Derby.

We never bottled it like Brentford though. Or West Brom, they may have went up but they completely bottled it.

Forest by an A52 Mile (or 15.3 to be precise)

I bet they're proud to wrestle that one off their neighbours

Brentford needed four points from games away to Stoke and home to Barnsley to guarantee promotion although as it happens two points from those two games would have done it-that is some bottling.

Forest is probably even worse though.

edit-actually just looked at recent form again so I have deleted a line from this post about who had momentum.

It has to be Forest

Whilst Brentford did stumble at the end they won 8 on the bounce to pout them in that position, Forest been stumbling for weeks and then when it looked like they'd still make it across the line anyway they then managed to contrive the most unlikely of failures

Forest, no question. Given the goal difference going into the game, it has to be the biggest last game of the season capitulation in recent memory.

It's absolutely Forest. That's a spectacular implosion to miss out on goal difference having had such an advantage.

Forest without a doubt.

Brentford done well to even get themselves in contention.... Forest were comfortable and then contrived to blow it.

Can I add Hull City to this equation.

They had 39 points after winning at Sheffield Wednesday on New Year’s Day and were a point off the play-offs. Selling Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki killed their momentum, but should it really have done so to the extent of them taking only 6 points from the next available 60?

Can only recall one bottling job, last game of season, that was Millwall at home. Play offs are a different matter.

How about when Crewe stole the sun from our hearts?

Wasn't that the difference between auto and play offs?

Ultimately, that was the game that done for us that season. We lost to Birmingham as well in the next game which meant we were relying on Bradford not winning at Molineux as we were beating Sheff Utd on the last day.

The jinx of the left post continued that day as Wolves hit the woodwork late on.

I'd swap those 'bottle jobs' for what we have now in a heartbeat to be honest. Fun times and good football.

Wolves hit the right post ;)

Crewe/Birmingham in 1999 was a bottle job without doubt.

Charlton at home in the play-offs wasnt great as we let then bully us.

West Ham at home in 2005. Terrible performance.
