I'm pretty sure I shared this at the time of publishing and was accused of Political Point Scoring.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/coronavirus-ventilators-boris-joh

If those who voted for and/or defended this sh1tshow could start owning it and demanding some accountability that would be lovely.

Also, stop falling victim to the rolling news cycle, they love knowing people are so dumb to forget things so fast.

Cheers.

Ok I'll bite

As usual you have posted a headline without knowing anything about what you are talking about.

The supply of kits and ventilators from the company in Cheshire was almost definitely concerning Nantwich small businessman and habitual chancer Steven Misfud from Direct Access Consultancy Ltd who when I looked at their accounts at the time had almost no assets and a dodgy credit score.

At the time every man and his dog were saying they could get this and that and 99% of them were dreamers. At the same time everyone was creating that we had a lack of PPE - so it turns out government went on to a war footing and bought everything they could on a money no object basis - which it turn has led to some pretty rotten deals.

Which the same people are creating about.

Was that ever proven though? It was speculation but I never saw a link clarifying it.

They gave the money to Dyson to fail though...

The fact in one case the person putting the request in may have been a chancer doesn't take away from the fact our corrupt government took a bung and gave a bung for a mate to profit.

For context, let's also not forget this.

It was sketchy then and there's still plenty of unanswered questions.

PS. You can debate with me without instantly pre-loading your reply with the suggestion I'm here for TROLLBANTZ. As someone who says my tone needs some self-awareness it's laughable.

They can do what they like so long as they validate their racism.

That's what it ALWAYS stems down to. They'll deny it and get upset and claim they are being bullied but the other possibility is "being incredibly thick".

Lucan, I'm a reasonable person when evidence and facts can be provided. Even Rommers and I cut each other a break lately so not sure why we can't.

But I am struggling to find anything validating the claims about the Cheshire firm.

I agree. Have you been out campaigning for Labour at the locals? Because that's where we change this, not the internet. It's been a lonely campaign where the Tories look to be sweeping the board. We all see the news, we know many are upset but nobody is upset enough to come out and actually campaign. This is why they win.

Dyson vacuum cleaners are massively over-rated.

Over twenty years ago The Nice Man In The Electrical Department At John Lewis recommended Sebo vacuum cleaners, and we've used one ever since.

And Mr Sebo isn't involved in any sleaze.
