I mean obviously if you’re on TWTD often you’re already in the ‘fairly obsessive and hardcore blue’ camp. Click bait to fund Phil and Gavs lavish lifestyles.
But I don’t know what it is about this season and the McKenna project, this group of players, that is making me and our season ticket group go just a little bit mental!! In anticipation of what is to come.
Obviously fans like us always get excited about a new season, but I’m sure I am more fired up this time round than I can remember. Jeeze even more so than those wonderful repeated play off pushes under Burley, hell even more than being back in the Premiership.
I think it’s a combination of knowing we’ll see good passing, movement and forward intent, unlike some dark recent seasons, its having players like Fridge, Burns, Edwards, Chaplin who seem good people and connected to the club, it’s feeling the ownership are making a difference and critically know what they’re doing.
Are you feeling the same? And does this make us mildly bonkers seeing as we’re playing in the third tier against Exeter and Forest Green Rovers!!!

No to be honest. Strangely, completely the opposite. My expectations are quite low because I worry (as things stand) that we are not going to score enough goals and it will be the play-offs at best. I just can't get enthusiastic yet.

I wouldn’t say my frenzy of anticipation is also predominantly optimistic though - like you I think goals are our Achilles heel! And also Bolton will probably be one of our toughest opponents this term. We were well beaten by them twice last season.
But to try and draw you to the blue Sun of mind bending enthusiasm and rapture - in Alukos interview he makes the point about the team are now getting 4 or 5 bodies into the box. That is the key, and increased positivity and intensity - marry that to the ability to bring on JJ, Jackson/Edwards and an in form Aluko and we could be different gravy. Morsy breaking the lines remains key.

I’m pretty MEH about it all to be honest. The start of the season has swung round too quickly for me.
None of signings excite me. I think they’re probably all in the “solid 8 out of 10” bracket which is what we need to get out of this division.
