Do you think they will get to silver members or be totally snapped up by ST holders?

Absolutely no chance.

Best hope is to keep trying the ticket office / here / Twitter for returns and spares.

Capacity in the Jimmy Seed stand is 3,000. Charlton haven't been getting great crowds recently - less than 13,000 at their last home game. The Valley holds over 27,000 so they sometimes give some of the lower West Stand to the away team so we might get more, which I think we'll need.

Give us 6,000, we’ll sell them innit.

The ticket office don't do returns now, they just go straight back on the ticket site. So some tickets can still become available and sold there after it sells out if the club receive returns.

Pretty sure it just snout made general sale last year, although admittedly we’re doing better now than back then. I reckon there will be about 100 make it to silver card holders.

Over half have already gone, and with the number of ST holders we have now, couple with how well we are doing and that it’s our only London game (and on a Saturday too), there’s no way there’ll be any left this time tomorrow.

Do they?
I can’t say I’ve ever seen that before (pics on Twitter or anywhere) out of interest what team/s did they give them too?

That does ring a faint bell actually, can’t remember who or when though.

The only time I can ever remember Charlton giving extra tickets was in 2006 against Wycombe in the League Cup quarter final - Wycombe got a few blocks in the East Stand.

Yes, but what about the Charlton tickets?

Interesting to see on the CAFC webiste, the end blocks of the side stands are blocked out - possible release to Town fans?

Only just remembered in time! Thought they'd be gone in 10-15 minutes, but that was quick.

Looking forward to banishing the memories of a freezing valley last season, that was the grimmest performance I'd seen by a Town side for quite some time.

Yep, there were only odd ones available and a few sold as I clicked them. Managed to grab one though.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Hopefully we will win, but even if we don't, it won't be as bad as last seasons performance. Fans fighting each other, fans arguing with players. Dreadful night and probably the worst away game I attended since the 5-0 loss on New Years day in the 90's!

My first ever away game.... 1st Jan 1990.
Lost 0-5, it threw it down all day and there was a massive traffic jam on the motorway on the way home.

We were 13 matches unbeaten going into that game too. One of my other memories of that day was listening to Man U v QPR commentary on the way home, with QPR winning 4-1.

Then the next game we went to Leeds in the FA Cup and won 1-0 and I almost got done for speeding on the way back on the A1.

Unlikely I would've though, but possible.

It's utterly ridiculous when you think about it, not just this game but ticketing in general. There's probably 2,000 more Town fans who want to go, maybe more, yet there will be 10,000 empty seats.

Yes, 2,000 x £25 = £50,000 Charlton are leaving on the table. Plus food, beverage & programme profit. I can't believe the extra admin & security would be very expensive. A really odd decision as I believe Charlton have occasionally released some of the West Stand to away fans before.
Unless this was done on the dreaded "police advice" of course.
