Please let this be true on 18:41 - Oct 23 with 1615 views | Mullet | There isn't a good outcome here is there? Both are awful men, politicians and citizens. Treacherous, reckless and should be nowhere near government after the first one collapsed. I hope Starmer goes on the front foot as soon as either is appointed and tears them apart every week. The fact MPs are clamouring like rats from candidate to candidate just to curry favour is equally appalling.

Please let this be true on 18:42 - Oct 23 with 1607 views | Zx1988 | Will the details of the nominations be public knowledge, or will they just be seen by Graham Brady? If it's the latter, I can quite believe that there are a number of MPs who would privately back Johnson, safe in the knowledge that they will never have to go on record as having done so.

If they go for Sunak there will have to be an election. Less so if they go for “Boris”.

They'll never call an election as they know retribution is coming and if Starmer is smart, PR etc to ensure they never get to rob us blind again. We'll see painful "austerity" and incompetence as they distract us enough to steal everything they can I suspect. It's the only play left. Noone was buying the rebrands and "new government" lie but even with time few will forget they killed so many people, small businesses etc surely?

Under the current rules, no. Morally yes. Morally the bloater should already be in jail Suggestions are that the privileges committee's report will be enough to have the porker suspended long enough to have him removed as an MP. His popularity can possibly be judged by the fact he was booed as he wheezed onto the plane, a day or so ago. Perhaps they recognised that here was some idle walrus skiving off while others have to work..... even if they are disabled, sick or mentally unfit (see Universal credit). I wonder how many of them can take three months off from work on full pay & expenses.
Please let this be true on 19:24 - Oct 23 with 1300 views | Swansea_Blue | Any chance they can both fail, the Tories collapse and we have a GE? Sunak is marginally better than Johnson, but then Lambert was marginally better than Hurst.

If BoJo is elected it will save the country £115k a year as he already gets paid it

No there isn’t. There really isn’t. We know what’s coming whoever gets in. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Hunt keeps the Chancellors job as he’s looked competent compared to Truss/Kwarteng (not hard). But we know where that leads. He’s still choosing to run services into the ground to fund their political choice of not taking on the people making sh*tloads of profit at our expense. It won’t matter if Hunt doesn’t keep it, as the seeds of Austerity 2.0 have been well and truly planted.

My spineless MP has lumped on Sunak as he tends to act in naked self interest most of the time.

I think it is more a case of poor old people. I doubt there will be many millionaires worrying about the cost of heating this winter Perhaps the red wall thickos might care to check how their MP (Tory) reacted to the bloaters constant sleaze, a few moneys ago 'Get the fat bstard out' and now 'tubby is our saviour' i wonder what job he has offered them. Possibly all the same job. If he wins, then worry about that then (as with almost all of his promises). If he doesn't win then it won't matter. Rather like the deal he signed with the EU. "Here we are chaps, just write down what you want and tell me where to sign" Enabling the porker to say he had got Brexit done, whereas in reality the UK was done.
