In Kodagu, Karnataka (South West India).

It was so bizarre. We were up sh!t-creek with a blown out tyre on an old Royal Enfield bike.

A coach drove past down the lane and then reversed back up to us and this old boy got off and said he recognised my shirt (89/90 Fisons Umbro with button-down collar). Anyway, he said he used to work at a bike shop on Foxhall Road (Davis Bikes?). He couldn’t help as it obviously wasn’t a mechanical issue but arranged for the coach driver to sort out a pick-up van from the next town (this was before mobile phones were commonplace). It arrived about 4 hours later! Following day, we went to the hotel they were staying at and nobody had a clue what I was on about. No change there, then.

Poll: Most pointless?

The Reading Cinema in Queenstown, NZ.

Not the most exciting of places, but it's the most far flung place I've met a Town fan.

In the fishing museum in Guilvinec, Brittany.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Didn’t speak to him. But in the old HK airport, Kai Tek ( excuse spelling), 1996, a Chinese bloke walked past us in a 95/5 home shirt!

Swakomund, Namibia, formerly South West Africa.

A few days after partying in Windheok, whilst celebrating their independence and being mistaken for a pop star at a Ziggy Marley concert. I was on my way to the toilet, when a couple of "heavies" came over to me and said that "Prince somebody or other" wanted his photo with me. I posed for a couple of photos with said Prince and the next thing I know there was a long queue of Africans waiting for my signature. My gf at the time, now wife, took quite a lot of convincing, when I had to explain why I was gone for half an hour for a pee!

Tyson V Bruno fight, Vegas 1989.

Bumped into him in the Casino Shop where he was working. Was born and bred in Ipswich until moving out 20 years previous, so when I returned I sent him over a load of programmes and stuff from the club shop.
