I don’t disagree, but my observation is it’s a shocking waste of money if we are then going to hand him over to another club all rehabbed and ready to go without finding out what he can do at Town! |
Alternatively, we bought him to strengthen our promotion push but unfortunately he didn't get fit enough to play a part.
But now we made it up, we can get better for that position and so the sensible thing to do is try and recoup what we can.
No club gets every signing right, so it doesn't need the hyperbole. [Post edited 2 Jul 2023 19:15]

I wouldn’t call Taylor a massive signing though. Doesn’t exactly excite you. Not been impressed up to now. Hope he proves me wrong, oh, and by the way we had moved on, it’s just that the powers that be at Peterborough climbed down when they realised this, because they needed what money they could get,by all accounts they are in the do do with money problems at the moment. |
He Excites me - I cant wait to see him play in our team
He will score goals and link well with our attacking players.
We cant outspend Leeds & Leicester

It's hardly a shocking waste of money is it?
We bought a midfielder, he broke, we got another to get the job done and now we can't keep them all, it's hardly shocking as you put it.
I'd be happy for him to stay but if the management have another plan so be it. If we get something like what we paid for him then great. | | | |

Ahead of who though? Hard to make a case for him to be in front of Morsy, Luongo, and Taylor, and that's a decent amount of traffic to overcome. With how disrupted last season was for him he really needs to be playing regularly to build match fitness and get back to his best. Not saying we should sell but it's hard to see a pathway into regular first team footy here right now. I wouldn't be surprised if we loaned him out with a break clause in January so we can bring him back if he's tearing it up elsewhere. |  |
