Australia allowing fans back into stadiums with restrictions 07:29 - Jun 12 with 1658 viewsurbanblue

This could be how fans are reintroduced over there next season.

Stadiums up to 40000 allowed 25% capacity on a seated ticketed basis.

Should be about right for those who want to go with Lambert still in charge.

Which could actually work for us but for a large chunk of League 1 would kill them. Burton with 25% capacity would be about 2k - if they were allowed to use the terracing.
It’s very hard to see how L1 can kick off if clubs couldn’t afford to play the final 9 or 10 games, how on earth can they set their stalls out to play a full season?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
Poll: Which recent triallist should we have signed?

Based on 25% of capacity could mean our home crowds outnumber those at Norwich.

More corona BS. I will be taking no part in any football match that has a 'socially distanced' crowd arrangement, I'd rather not go at all.

I tend to agree with you. We have so few cases here things are moving quite quickly but as ever politically the federal and state governments have to show caution. I get the feeling they want to get things moving though.

At least schools are all back and there all is back to normal. No social Distancing for the kids and all fine. Been the odd case within a school but each time the school is closed, cleaned and there has been no spread.

It will be interesting in about a week's time when we will see if there is a 'Second Spike' after the protests. Everyone talking about what if there is, but what if there isn't?

25% capacity? We'll be alright then.

At 25% of capacity that would be around 7500 seats. I reckon an awful lot of ST holders will have held off renewals until things are clearer so we could well have about that at ST holders. And some won't want to go (Nervous of the risks of CV)

Which together could make prioritising a lot easier than 12k fighting over 8h seats.

Poll: This new lockdown poll - what you reckon?

Well some poor b*stards are going to have to go and watch.
Perhaps it could replace Community Service.

Interesting, ta. I see they mentioned streaming - I was wondering how much they could recoup on that. It could be significant.

The average ST is around £300, so that's £13 a game for just the home games. Championship clubs are charging about £10 per game for streams and they're available for both home and away games (from what I've seen, not sure if it applies to all clubs). So in theory, if everyone who turned up for a home game paid for streams for all home and away games, thee clubs could actually raise more revenue. They may pick up some extra fans compared to those who would have gone to the ground too.

I don't see why they couldn't sell one of streams for £10 and a streaming pack offering discount for more than one game. Up to the price of a ST for the whole season if needed. It would need TV clearances of course.

What could kill this of course is the ability to stream. It may be that what I've seen is being promoted by clubs who already have their own stream service, and not all would be able to do so especially in L1 & L2.
