Posting up accurate figures is not trolling

Lambert took over a team rock bottom - Cook took over a team just outside the playoffs

Lambert had to work with another managers squad - Cook has been able to work with virtually a whole new squad of his own making.

An even as bad as Lambert was with someone else's squad - his points average was 20% higher (over those games)than Cooks is now with his own squad, after supposedly spending the squillions Lambert never had.

Lambert then had a window. Brought in players but still ended up with just 4 wins in 31 on our way to relegation

Shouldn't you wait 31 games before comparing?

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

I actually had a chat with him last night, he says that he thinks there will be another 2-3 weeks of pain until the ‘sun starts shining’. By that point he’ll have got his best team out consistently and fit etc in his view and that will be when things turn with results and complete performances

You’d imagine that Ashton is aware of this and that in agreement that he’ll be given this time - but who knows

Well he can enjoy the sun shining on some Mediterranean island for all I care. His performance has been infinitely more shocking than all of the professionals whom he unceremoniously dumped.

Cook out.

For all his many faults Lambert took on a squad which was nowhere near good enough for Championship football and an owner whose pockets, for whatever reason, ended up not deep enough for the second level. Cook adopted a squad which was sitting two points off the play offs with less than three months left of the season. He then ripped up that squad and bought in a load of players at a ludicrous expense for this level (I think he said 80-90% of his targets were signed) who, if anything, made us worse despite their clear pedigree at this level or above.

Game 31 will be Cambridge on 16th October which will also be the twelfth league game of the season. My hope is we’re at least in the mid table by then, looking upwards. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Haven’t read the whole thread, but I suspect by that time auto promo will be beyond us.

That said, this squad really should be good enough to push on and should we get into the PO’s you’d have to hope that we’ll be on such a roll as to be in with a great chance of winning them.

Personally I’m not convinced he’s got the tactical nouse without his old side kick Richardson, but I’m not writing him off yet.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?
