Edmundson 11:58 - Sep 4 with 9567 views | cbower | Any reason not in the 18 or just 'dropped'? Burgess taking his chance but surprised Keogh chosen above Fridge for the bench.

Interesting. He is a quality player but left side of 3Cbs doesn't show him at his best.

Burgess provides that balance being naturally left footed. He seems to be taking his chance with both hands too.

McKenna: No One's Getting Carried Away 3rd Sep 2022 18:38Town boss Kieran McKenna says no one at Portman Road is getting carried away despite this afternoon’s 2-0 win at Accrington, a club record fourth away win at the start of a season, taking the Blues back to the top of League One. 39

Nah, it's good banter innit? There really is no payoff quite like making someone you'll never see read something, go "oh, that's a pity" and get on with their day.

Isn't it just that Burgess is playing very well and suits certain opponents? on 13:50 - Sep 4 with 4384 views | unstableblue | Rather than some deep seated issue? I'm surprise Fridge is not playing week in week out.. great player... but he perhaps suits a Derby, or a Sheff Weds not an Accrington And in time, Wolf, Burgess, may well get a knock. We need that quality squad. But I'd like to see Edmundson back in soon. One thing Burgess is doing very well is some low, zipped into forward midfield positions.

He was really bad at burton. Looked completely lost. Either unfit or something else going on. He's better than he's showing.

It’s almost like he’d missed a large chunk of the end of last season with a serious injury and still on his way back, gaining match sharpness, isn’t it?

Its almost like at Burton that he was given a torrid time by a striker playing out of his skin, and to a level that attracted a certain club to buy him. This season is all about a depth of squad quality that means we can maintain strong performances for the whole season... and handle drops in form and injury. Once Bonne's form dipped, and Norwood got a knock, the season was effectively over. See also Morsy. [Post edited 4 Sep 2022 14:16]

Edmundson on 14:56 - Sep 4 with 3991 views | dominiciawful | McKenna isn’t a fan of his Indesit-sion on the ball. He’d rather someone a bit more no-nonsense who would just go “Bosch!” It’s been a bit of a Hotpoint among dressing room discussions. Plus, Edmundson has a Smeg problem.
