Hate the idea of playoffs, only made any sense in the early days when there was a relegation/promotion play off. In a league promotion should be decided overvthe season only, 46 games in our case. These days finishing 6th is treated as success. Wrong. You can only claim it's a success if you win the playoffs. Playoffs are just about money, keeping the season alive longer for mediocre teams.

Play offs do not mean promotion, it means 2 and maybe 3 extra games. on 13:03 - Apr 17 with 585 views

Playoffs make the season much more interesting - without them, you’ll simply get many more matches where nothing is at stake. In a close division, teams from the top two to teams in ninth or tenth have something to play for at later stages of the season.
The playoffs have been a complete success.
