whether we have a recall clause on Elkan during the January transfer window? I understand that currently, he is behind Fridge, Woolfy, Janoi, Burgess, Ndaba. But we may be looking to move Burgess on as he doesn't really suit McKenna's style. Also Ball can play centre back, albeit we will need Ball in midfield. We know that 2 or 3 injuries can occur. However my main reason for being interested in a recall is that if the season goes as planned and we are top 2 in January, we could recall him and loan him to a lower league 1 side to see how he gets on, and maybe even help against some of our rivals.
It'll be interesting to see who plays for Gillingham next season. At the moment they have very few players, after Harris told last season's mob what he thought of them before showing them the door. But I think they do still have Max Ehmer at centre half, and he's played about 250 games for them, so presumably knows what he's doing. I reckon Gillingham still need to bring in one or two more central defenders. Nicky Shorey is in charge of their recruitment.

It's fairly standard to be able to do that with season-long loans. If we need him I'm sure we'd be able to get him back, although I suspect MA would be unwilling to reveal the details of the deal.

HA! As though Gav gets the chance to talk to the likes of Mark Ashton!
Gav lives in a server room at Phil Ham Towers and if he's lucky, occasionally a packet of pork scratchings might get slid under the locked door.
Think Rapunzel, but with less hair.
Sorry, but this is nonsense. I can assure you that the true boss is MarkTWTD. Gav and Phil do almost all the important work such as making coffee and providing hobnobs for Mark.
Mark Ashton though has said that in future he is only prepared to talk to someone with the same first name as himself.

In what realm does Burgess not suit KM style? He was one of our best players towards the end of the season, sending off aside.
In the sense that Cam Burgess isn't exactly a ball playing centre back. Woolfy -yes; Fridge - yes - Janoi - yes; Elkan - yes. (Haven't seen much of Ndaba but from what I've heard he's a yes). But whilst Cam is a very decent back up option who waited his opportunity and mostly did a grand job for us, I would never describe him as a ball playing centre back. That is why I wouldn't be surprised if he was allowed to leave, especially if we got a reasonable offer.

He is as comfortable on the ball as Fridge and played as well as anyone left side of the 3 aside from switching off at Oxford for 2 seconds.
