Special Teachers - the Ian Wright stuff go5 me thinking 19:34 - Jan 9 with 1569 viewsKeno

I’m sure we all have at least one, if not more, special teachers or adults to who we would love to say “thank you” but never got or took the chance

Tho not in same way as Wrighty the teacher I’d like to thank is Mr Hogan from Northgate, there was just something about him and the way he taught that made such a difference. Should anyone know him or relatives please pass this on

Anyone else have such a teacher

I know there are some teachers/lecturers on here and despite the occasionally mickey taking I do salute you for doing something I couldn’t do, well done all!,

Mate, it's probably been a while since you were at that school.

Any teachers you want to pass on your regards to might need to be via a séance.

I'm sorry, t'was a friendly jibe at your years as you know.

In that spirit then, there was an English teacher at Stoke who was a cracking bloke. If you saw him out with his missus in the street he'd always say hi and wouldn't shy away.

Good teachers always show through in how you perform in their subjects don't they.

Now, if I could only remember his bloody name.

Edit: Casey rings a bell, Mr Casey.

You may find a contact if you try hard enough Kenners ;)

I did :)

Edit: for clarity, I found contacts for some of my old teachers, not Kenners' !

Mr Northover at Colbayns. Took me out out on the piss with the other teachers as a sixteen year old on a skiing trip to Switzerland.

Went on a pub crawl before ending up in some seedy disco. Learned a lot that night.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Shout-out to the married, gay music teacher, whose name I'm struggling to remember, that I snogged outside Mercy nightclub in Nodge on AS level results night for a laugh.

Told me he'd go out with me if I'd bother to shave and quit smoking.

The incident was caught on video, shared around and the police were later called in.

What year did you leave Colbayns GB? I didn’t go there, but I knew *cough* several girls who did.

The best teacher I had was Mr Reed the headmaster at my Middle School. Absolute legend of a man.

But passed away last week according to some friends on facebook so your statement rings true.
