My half time thoughts from Braintree 15:59 - Jul 14 with 1247 viewsOhDavidMcgoldrick

Braintree should be two or three up and this is more due to sloppy play from our defence, especially from set pieces rather than sustained periods of pressure.

Spence has been very poor and highlights the need for anew CB.

On a positive note Downes has been my stand out of the first half although that isn't saying much.

Roberts hasn't done anything special but has been isolated up front.

Team have clearly been told to play the ball into the channels for Ward and Sears to chase. Could mean another season on the wing for Sears.

Only a friendly and the intensity isn't massive however Spence needs to turn up

So we need a CB or two.

No change from this time last year then.

So it sounds like a winger is playing centre forward and a forward playing on the wing same old story then but early days as yet I suppose ⚽

Did Colchester beat them 5-0 the other day?

Still early days, going to take some time.

Agree with these sentiments. It was a very poor showing. Evans needs to back the boss desperately.

Everyone on this forum is always wrong.
