Anyone that's thinks this is Lamberts fault 23:43 - Feb 8 with 25831 viewskizaitfc

Needs to look over the last 15 years

Poll: Mick in or out? (not a dig at Mick just want to see the overall opinion on here)

But you are getting confused between strongest squad and best team.

I, like many others, believe we have one of the strongest squads in the league - but yet we are not playing as a team.

The early season form before other sides had got used to playing with each other and set on their tactics may explain the loss of form.

We were able to beat teams by having better players before they found their ythym - we are yet to find a rhythym because we spent 4 months rotating incessantly

This is so obvious I can’t believe it took this many pages of waffle for someone to say it. We have a perfectly decent squad of championship players and players we bought who were performing in League 1 (bar Norwood, KVY & Jackson, who I doubt many disapprove of those season). The manager has no system, no way of playing, and is getting less out of our squad than the sum of its parts. Compare that to agricultural Wycombe who play in a set style and as a team and they are flying high with Ainsworth squeezing way more out of that squad than he should be getting, as is Karl Robinson at Oxford. It’s the basics of any level of football, on the pitch and on the training ground Lambert is not doing us any favours at all.

If anyone stops has an actual think about it for 2 minutes, they might start to wonder why they are being protective of a manager who has a win percentage of 28% and hasn’t beaten a single team also in the top 8, of League 1, all season. He’s underperforming compared to all his peers, and seems to be getting worse.

Dear oh dear.

In hindsight it was a bit weird that we gave Lambert a pass for being charge of 2/3rds of the worst season in our history. Hurst was widely regarded as terrible at almost every aspect of management - at coaching, tactics, man management, recruitment. It's astonishing that his successor wasn't able to improve on that, even if only slightly.
