Mourinho at Spurs on 17:38 - Feb 22 with 681 views | You_Bloo_Right | The Spurs fans I know still, rightly in my view but then we are all old men, stick by Danny Blanchflower's famous statement: "The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

It’s clearly time for him to move on. 28 in July. Levy will want to cash in and this is probably the age to do it.

Mourinho at Spurs on 14:48 - Feb 22 by homer_123 | There is just the bitingly significant difference between them though Joe. Mourinho has actually, as a manager, won and won big with many clubs. [Post edited 22 Feb 2021 14:54]

Mourinho at Spurs on 14:51 - Feb 22 by IP4_Blue | Mourinho only has 3 seasons max at a club always has been like with him. To be fair to him he's done a good job and won wherever he has been, he did well at Man Utd and won europa league, league cup, only a couple of months ago Spurs was right up there |
Not really, has failed in his recent jobs. Football has moved on.
Mourinho at Spurs on 00:32 - Feb 23 with 603 views | haynes_toe1 | To be fair Mourinho still gets jobs because generally up until now, even when things aren't great he wins stuff. Yknow, trophies and what not.
Mourinho at Spurs on 06:45 - Feb 23 with 573 views | Chrisd | There certainly seems like there are similarities. Spurs also have a number of players that are now either slightly past their sell by date or not good enough to get them to that next level. Been really disappointed in Bale. Yes, you can argue that Mourinho hasn’t managed him well, but early on Bale just didn’t look interested in games and was doing the bare minimum, hugely underwhelming. Not what you expect from a ‘world class’ player. I keep reading Brendon Rodgers is being linked to the manager’s job, personally I think he’d be a good fit for them, but would he want to leave Leicester City where he’s done so well and take the step down to Spurs? It won't be Rodgers. More likely to be someone like Farke or Steve Cooper at Swansea - upcoming managers who wouldn't be phased by having sod all to spend. I can see Rodgers, if he leaves Leicester, at Chelsea if Tuchel continues to alienate their players.

Won the league in his last stint with Chelsea, won League cup & Europa League with Man Utd and also came 2nd in the league with a squad much worse then their current one. Hard to say he's failed in recent jobs. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Can't see that, the cost of his transfer and wages will only be viable for either City or PSG. I can see him linking back up with Poch at PSG, he could even commute everyday.

Mourinho at Spurs on 16:57 - Feb 23 with 442 views | Radlett_blue | Owners & supporters used to put up with Mourinho's antics largely because he had a great record of winning trophies. I thought Spurs were mad to sack Pochettino as he seemed to have built a decent side who also played attractive football. Mourinho didn't seem a great fit, but would be forgiven if he delivered success. Missing out on the Champions' League for a second season will be a disappointment & I think he needs to win the League Cup or better still, the Europa League, which will get them into the Champions' League. If they miss out again, you would think Mourinho won't be kept on & a 27 year old Harry Kane would agitate for a move, even though he's under contract until 2024.
