Reality is the world and the game of football has moved on since our last successes now decades ago... Ipswich is a medium / large size town in the UK. What does the town of Ipswich matter? As someone else suggested we are the team for the whole of Suffolk.
If you just look at our average attendance from last season - 32nd biggest in the country and that's with the minimal L1 away followings. 32nd puts us as a mid table Championship team, with promotion and a bit of success and we could easily gain another 3k fans, and that would put us 24th - a Championship play-off position club - back to where we were before Marcus Evans took over! |  |
