Probably deserves the ignominy of being held most accountable for where we are this season! Well done for being the stand out player in a team that has finished rock bottom of the league!
I think Chalobah has been making a late run for the award and a young player early in his career might not see it as so ignominious. That said, it is always a shame when a loan player gets the award too. |  |

Downes has really improved this season and has become a talented, dependable part of the midfield. He'd get my vote.

True but he played on with a broken wrist and having had blood drained off his foot. He bleeds blue and white and is clearly distraught about our plight. He deserves it for caring, for being our captain, for being a constant through mostly miserable times. |  |

I'll be voting for him, there just isn't a good candidate at all otherwise.
He's fronted up all season in this sh*t show and been left with a constantly changing team around and in front of him.
Had Sears stayed fit and continued form he'd have probably got the nod.
If it was actual best player of the season I'd have probably just about given the nod to Chalobah but no real point. |  |

Trev has won me over. He's been on a bit of a personal journey with regards to performances this season. I was a critic earlier in the season (rightly so in my opinion) but he's been doing really well recently and has started to cut out the silly mistakes. I just wish that we had this current Trev from the start but I guess that's why teams loan players out: for the experience and to see if they can develop which Trev now seems to be doing. |  | | |

He was a great captain when we weren't doing well (have we done well this season?) and that's why he'll get my vote.
The work that Chambers did behind the scenes with the squad to make up for the shortcomings of PH proved a) that he loves this club and b) he's a bloody good bloke to have around when the chips are down.
He's got his flaws but we'll look back on him v fondly in a few years. |  |
