He was pretty short. Really nice lad, I knew him fairly well back in the day. His sister was lovely too.

Yep. Just read about it in WSC. Remember him and Jaime Peters celebrating a goal away at Watford. Trouble was it had been disallowed and Watford we’re attacking whilst they were still dancing. Tried to edit out the apostrophe but it’s not having it [Post edited 25 Nov 2019 21:04]

I remember that but don't recall it was McDonald. He was a shorty as another poster commented. Did seem a nice lad but never good enough.

Thinking about it probably wasn’t him, Haynes maybe?

Just looked at the BBC match report for that game and Jaime Peters is described as an Edgar Davids lookalike... Never thought that myself hahahah

No. Haynes and Peters. O'Callaghan had already been sent off by then.

My friend was the media guy at Farnborough Town when he had that brilliant season - 40+ goals. Swansea tried to sign him but Farnborough demanded too much money, very much not the done thing if a league club comes sniffing - an that just knocked him and he never really recovered. That was under Brendan Rodgers after he had just been appointed and he was very keen - must be hard to not look at that with a massive 'what if'

One of the more exciting but ultimately disappointing Town games of the last 14 years. O'Callaghan wrongly sent off, we perform heroically with 10 men, have a"goal" dubiously disallowed & concede a late, breakaway winner to an ex-Budgie. Ahh, the emotion of football. This came early on in our remarkable 14 match run of games when we couldn't beat Watford! As I live a few miles from Watford, I've witnessed most of these games & my son recently said to me "Dad - I think I've seen Watford win more often than I've seen Ipswich win".
