Tough times so be sure to look after yourselves guys. Whether that's fresh air, a favourite meal, your favourite LP...

You know what works for you, so try and find some 'me time' to do exactly that. And if it's talking sh1t and arguing the toss, I know just the place :-)

whereabouts are you?

Brazil. 3 more ports in Brazil to go (including today’s port). Then we have a long ocean crossing to Singapore.

I’ve got some maintenance that I want done, a wire that needs changing for one of my embarkation ladders too. So it will be a busy crossing.

....took my Dad to have his vaccination at the local GP this morning.

All very well organised and efficient.

I don't think I realised how "relieved" it would make me feel.

Lambert out.

My dad's finally been told his first is next Weds, which is, as you say, a huge relief. I thought they'd forgotten about him.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

We aren’t allowed ashore. Anywhere.

I’m lucky. My contract is only 3 months.

Some of my crew will be here 9 months.

....random.

He happened to be on the phone to the GP yesterday (not related) and they asked him if he could come in this morning.

He's 74.

I'm feeling vaguely positive about the whole thing for the first time today.

Good news re your Dad, we need to look after the old'uns, they looked after us.

Not too good actually. I've had this nagging, growing feeling that Lambert might not actually be any good. Anyone else feel the same or is it just me? Maybe I'm being a bit hasty?

I think that nagging feeling is a sign of early onset dementia as anyone in their right mind can see that the structure and style that Lambert is putting in place are the fundamentals that will lead to great success sometime in the future.

Also as some heath professionals on here point out frequently, and as they are professional and in health they can be trusted, the performances have been improved.

Bit stressed. We've been 'close' to moving since before Xmas now, and still nothing has happened. Our estate agents keep chasing me up as to what's happening, and we've found out it's our buyers which are holding it up, even though the estate agents are adamant they've done everything they need to. Hopefully be looking at some time w/c 25th January now, although I keep reading that they may shut the housing market, so not sure what that would mean for us given were this close.

How would you handle it it one of your crew somehow picked up Covid, a serious case, the kind that would get you in hospital on dry land.

After two days of incessant rain in London it's nice that it's just grey and cold this morning. Went for a short walk before work which is harder to do this time of year but helps set me up for the day.

Plus there's a Test match to watch which is a nice dose of normality. Galle looks even more appealing than it normally does in January though....

Morning all, I have the cricket on while I work which is a nice thing to be able to do. Later will take a walk after work it might be dark and cold but it will still be nice to be out in the fresh air.

We have a hospital on board.

The ship would be detained and quarantined at anchor.

Probably have all cargo discharged as we would be off service.

It’s a concern. When people sign off, they have to have the COVID test ashore when they are off the ship, that way the ship won’t get quarantined as they are no longer part of the ships company.

Funnily enough I have been feeling great over the last few days. I still have four days of self-isolation to go, so perhaps what works for me is keeping as far away as possible from everyone including my own family.

Nine and a half days left for me, but I am in Scotland and there is snow on the ground so I feel great.

Not great (again) but don;t really want to say too much as it brings people down. Got used to having to cover it up for most of my life. I am finding it so hard to leave the house and got out yesterday to town and also had a walk Wednesday evening but not great weather to do either. My body aches so badly and my anxiety is killing me. I have all the signs of long covid - except mine have been around since March 2019 before it was even heard of.
