I'm no fan of Paul Lambert, but the inference that he's a racist doesn't seem to have much basis to it.
I don't think there's been any fall out with Donacien, he's just not a very good footballer. Lambert signed KVY, if he had an issue with players of colour you'd think he'd have signed a white right back instead. KVY isn't the only Black player he's signed or played either.
Of all the sticks to beat Lambert with, this one squarely fell from the wrong tree. (Nod of appreciation for my mixing of metaphors there). |  |

I saw a suggestion on here the other day from Bryan Plug questioning why fans don't rate Toto and Donacien, and implying there was a more sinister reason for it, which shocked me quite frankly.
It's an offensive suggestion of those that frequent this site, and one that has zero basis whatsoever. People really need to be careful what they say. The same applies if that's being implied of Lambert and co. |  |

There's absolutely nothing 'woke' about the OPs post, so I'm not sure why you're trying to link the two J2! People creating something about nothing is common across the political spectrum, that's not "woke" means. As much as I don't think there's any real case for Lambert or ITFC to answer here, I'm not sure why everyone got all het up and downvotey about the mere implication.
Racial prejudice, conscious or unconscious is as present in football fans and football clubs as anywhere else and there's nothing wrong with questioning ourselves and the club about it from time to time, even if we're ultimately satisfied that particular things aren't a problem. |  |

I have called Lambert just about every name under the sun on here, but no, I don’t think there is racism in the club or in PL. Times have changed in my lifetime and certainly in the football world thank goodness. There is much work to be done in society with some Stone Age people, bigots and the dregs of humanity, but I believe things have been moving the right way for some years and will continue to do so as the generations pass. I hope so.
That’s my optimistic take. Anyone remember John Miller btw? I think he might have been the first black player to play for Ipswich in the late 60s or early 70, though there was another at that time called Steve Stacey who played a few times.
