which is reasonable to highlight, and in a normal off season I dont think Id be that worried about progress so far, but how many players have those clubs let go for comparison ?
Town are upto 19 now, Im not expecting all 19 to be replaced at all as we seemed to collect players that rarely featured in squads let alone teams, so sure Im expecting a smaller number to join and certainly not all turn up straight away, and Im sure there will be a bunch of loans still
but time is ticking towards the new season, its 43 days till the season kicks off only two weeks till our first pre-season game , and we arent just talking about getting players fitness up in pre-season, we are talking about getting the players left and the new ones to play the Paul Cook way & for the new players to gel and fit in and all that kind of stuff so they are organised enough and ready to hit the ground running, because a promotion challenging season is a 2pt average per game, you cant afford to take many games in the league campaign to really get going if you want that automatic promotion, and thats the aim right ? | | | |
